Liverpool eyeing move for talented youngster Aurelien Tchouameni

Liverpool are eyeing a move for Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni.

The young French midfielder is making waves this season with both Monaco and France.

He was involved in the recent international break as France became nations league champions.

Now, though, it seems Liverpool are looking into making him a Red.

A recent report from ESPN has claimed that Liverpool, alongside Real Madrid, PSG and both Manchester clubs, want the youngster.

The competition for Tchouameni is stiff, but the Reds could sneak in and poach him.

The report claims that Monaco are looking for up to £50m for their star midfielder.

That would make him one of the most expensive players in Liverpool’s history.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s midfield looks light.

Georginio Wijnaldum was sold and Harvey Elliott has picked up a nasty injury.

That could lead to the Anfield faithful seeing their side snap up the 21-year-old.

Despite his age, Tchouameni is already doing it all for Monaco in midfield.

In Ligue 1 this season he’s averaging 2.9 tackles and 2.1 interceptions per game as well as 1.2 dribbles and 1.9 shots (WhoScored).

The Frenchman has the dynamism and the engine to do it all.

Helping out at the back and pushing forward to assist in attack, this is a signing who would fit Klopp’s system.

His engine and ability to press high will particularly stand out to the fans.

A lot has to happen for this to go from speculation to a completed signing, but the fans would be delighted with this one.

It would be an even sweeter steal if they’re able to beat Manchester United and Manchester City to his signature.
