The 2018/19 campaign was one to remember for Liverpool supporters as the Reds claimed their sixth Champions League crown.

Jurgen Klopp’s sensational side defeated Tottenham 2-0 in the final and capped a remarkable season, which saw them claim 97 points domestically.

One of Liverpool’s surprise heroes during their Champions League campaign was striker Divock Origi.

The Belgian was sent out on loan to Wolfsburg last season raising question marks over his future at Anfield.

Origi returned to the club with a point to prove, however. Although game time wasn’t overly frequent he netted eight goals and created two assists.

ESPN is reporting that the striker will be sticking around at Liverpool a little while longer.

The report suggests that he won’t be sold this summer and that a new contract could be forthcoming too.

Origi is out of contract next summer when he could depart for nothing.

Liverpool fans seem quite receptive to the idea of their peripheral striker sticking around the club.
