Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold says he ‘isn’t fussed’ where he plays, just so long as he does.
The 21-year-old has been the subject of talk about a potential position change in the future, with his passing and crossing abilities suggesting he could be wasted as a defender.
The likes of Gary Lineker, Martin Keown and Jamie Carragher have all suggested he could perhaps be reconverted into a midfielder, which is where he used to play in his younger days.

The idea was finally put to Alexander-Arnold himself at an England press conference, and the star doesn’t appear to be in any rush to leave his role as a full-back.
He said (Liverpool Echo): “Obviously I’m a defender first and foremost, then I want to try and help the team create chances.
“For now the manager has decided I’m a right-back. That’s where I’ll play. I’m really not fussed where I play. I just want to play football. If a manager decides to use me in midfield, or as a centre-back or a striker then that’s where I’ll play.”
TBR’s view
Alexander-Arnold clearly has the attributes to play further up the field.

The ‘De Bruyne role’ of an inside-right position could be absolutely perfect for him, but there is little need for that conversion to be made right now, with Liverpool looking so strong.
Jurgen Klopp does not need to mess with a winning formula. Perhaps when James Milner moves on and Jordan Henderson enters his early 30s will be the time for Alexander-Arnold to start his transition.
