By all accounts, Arne Slot will be able to make significant upgrades to his Liverpool squad this summer, a manager who’s on course to win the Premier League after a minimal spend.
Liverpool only recruited Federico Chiesa from Juventus to join their squad immediately last summer, a forward who has made just 12 appearances under Slot in all competitions.
Slot has essentially won the Premier League with the squad he inherited from Jurgen Klopp, a remarkable achievement.

But in order to take his project to the next step, the Dutchman will need one or two players in his image to improve his starting eleven and squad as a whole.
And along with Milos Kerkez, Liverpool are interested in signing Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth, a duo who are captivating attention across Europe right now.
Huijsen only arrived in England last summer, but Bournemouth could already be poised to make a big profit on the Spain international.
Liverpool could sign Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth in a swap deal
That being said, Liverpool might now have a trick up their sleeve when it comes to beating the clubs also interested in Huijsen.
According to Mail Sport, Bournemouth are interested in three Liverpool players right now: Caoimhin Kelleher, Harvey Elliott and Ben Doak.

And whilst there might be some reluctance to lose Elliott at Anfield, Kelleher could be in need of a new challenge.
Alisson has been phenomenal for Slot this season and Liverpool will also welcome Giorgi Mamardashvili to the squad from Valencia this summer as things stand.
Virgil van Dijk commented on Kelleher’s future recently and does feel as if both the goalkeeper and Liverpool might be forced into a decision this summer.
Therefore, perhaps Liverpool might be advised to actually use the Republic of Ireland international in a swap deal to sign Huijsen, whilst also adding some cash.
Bournemouth need a goalkeeper once Kepa Arrizabalga’s loan deal from Chelsea ends, and Kelleher is certainly good enough to be a first choice keeper for a competitive Premier League side.
Harvey Elliott has unfinished business at Liverpool
Of course, Liverpool might actually be able to get better value for Elliott in any hypothetical swap deal, a younger talent who arguably has a higher ceiling.
But in the glimpses the England U21 international has shown under Slot, it would be a shame to lose his talent at Anfield.
Perhaps Elliott might not end up fulfilling his potential at Liverpool, but it would seem best for the club to assess his development for another year at least.
Landing someone of Elliott’s quality would be a huge coup for Bournemouth no doubt, but he’s not the kind of player who Liverpool should be losing.
Dortmund were linked with Elliott only a few months ago, and clubs across Europe would surely be lining up if Liverpool were willing to sell.
