If Liverpool only land one player this summer, it should be Premier League teen sensation

Callum Hudson-Odoi could depart Chelsea this summer and Liverpool should do all they can to steal him from their rivals.

Liverpool are still competing for silverware on two fronts. They are currently top of the Premier League and hold a two-goal advantage over Porto going into the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

It won’t be too long before attentions turn towards next season, however, and who Jurgen Klopp might sign. Although the squad at Liverpool is strong, the boss will naturally want to make it even better.

Given the plethora of talent already at his disposal, it is likely to be a case of quality over quantity for the German boss.

If Liverpool were to only land one player during the summer transfer window it should come from a Premier League rival.

Chelsea teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi has been linked with Bayern, Dortmund and Liverpool in recent weeks, according to Sport Bild.

The 18-year-old is yet to sign a new contract with the Blues, with his current deal expiring out in 2020. Remarkably the youngster was handed a first England start by Gareth Southgate before Maurizio Sarri gave him one in the Premier League.

If Liverpool can land Hudson-Odoi it would rock Chelsea big style. They would lose a potential star of the future to one of their biggest divisional rivals.

In all competitions, the starlet has netted six goals and claimed seven assists this season. He would represent a quality signing for Liverpool and Klopp would be a brilliant manager for his development.

Above all, he offers something a bit different to Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. As a result, he would undoubtedly play more than he is doing currently at Stamford Bridge.
