Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has a top talent who's been compared to Steven Gerrard - TBR View

Liverpool are looking back to their best this season following their difficult 2020-21 campaign.

The Reds sit joint-top of the Premier League table, top of their Champions League group, and are in the League Cup last 16.

Liverpool also have some top talents coming through their ranks, some of whom got game time on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Tyler Morton and James Balagizi made the bench, and the former made his debut, replacing Naby Keita at half-time.

The 18-year-old did superbly too, slotting seamlessly into defensive midfield and helping Liverpool take back control in the middle of the park.

Morton can also play in central midfield, attacking midfield and on the right wing, and his versatility could be key for Klopp in future.

The Wirral-born talent joined the Liverpool academy aged seven and made his Under-23s debut last season.

Now, Morton has made his senior debut, doing very well against a fellow Premier League side, and will no doubt give Klopp food for thought.
