Liverpool and Tottenham will contest an all-English Champions League final on 1 June, after both teams qualified through dramatic semi-finals.

The Merseyside club overturned a 3-0 aggregate scoreline from the first leg against Barcelona to beat them 4-0 at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Spurs overcame Ajax courtesy of a Lucas Moura hat-trick in the second-half of the second leg in Amsterdam.

Liverpool boss Klopp has praised upcoming opponents Spurs for reaching the European final, stating that the two teams have the biggest Hearst in the competition.

“The way Tottenham took to the final with all the difficulties, after a short summer break and they are missing a lot of players. We went through because of our desire and Tottenham was the same” Klopp said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.

“It was brilliant, congratulations to [Mauricio] Pochettino. And what Ajax did is just brilliant. In the final, the two teams are the teams with the biggest hearts.”

Liverpool defied all the odds to somehow dump out Barcelona of the Champions League and it was another extraordinary European night at Anfield.

They have shown their quality by going toe-to-toe with Manchester City for the Premier League title this campaign and they now have to be considered favourites to lift the Champions League.

Klopp’s team have a shot at redemption after losing to Real Madrid in the European final last season and look impossible to stop when they are on form.

Spurs’ story is just as much a fairytale and they have been underdogs for large spells of this season.

They have lost both games to Liverpool this season 2-1 in the league meetings, but they can’t be written off ahead of the final.
