Liverpool are expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer despite the departure of Jurgen Klopp and are interested in a deal for Wolves star Rayan Ait-Nouri ahead of the summer.
Ait-Nouri, 22, has sparkled in the Premier League for Wolves since joining the club back in the summer of 2021. He has played 106 times for the Midlands club, having a hand in 15 goals form left-back.
Liverpool’s interest in Ait-Nouri is nothing new, having been linked a few months ago. But a new report from Algerian outlet La Gazette Du Fennec says Liverpool are the ‘most serious’ contender for him.
The report states that despite Klopp leaving, he has given a move for the Algeria star his backing. Other clubs are interested too, in the form of Chelsea and both Manchester United and Manchester City.
It comes after Arsenal are said to have made a bid in January, only to see that offer rejected. It is said that Ait-Nouri is believed to be valued by Wolves at a fee of £50m. His deal is due to expire in 2026.

Liverpool most serious in race for Wolves man Rayan Ait-Nouri
Liverpool have options on the left side of the defence. Andy Robertson is by far and away the club’s best left-back, even if he has entered his thirties. Konstantinos Tsimikas has long been the back-up option.
Joe Gomez – who has been praised by Gareth Southgate after being recalled to the England squad – has also played on the left side of the defence this season. But, the Reds could do with strength in depth.
Gomez is better elsewhere in the defence, Robertson is in his thirties and Tsimikas has never been good enough to start week in, week out for the Reds. Ait-Nouri would be a wonderful addition for Liverpool.
