'Fantastic' Liverpool and Tottenham target scores again this weekend amid claims his club fear he's already agreed a deal
It was another weekend full of goals for Fulham and once again their young forward, Fabio Carvalho got himself on the scoresheet as the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool continue to lurk.
Carvalho rattled in yet another goal for himself and the Cottagers this season as they saw off Stoke City 3-2. Carvalho, played more as a number ten by Marco Silva today, scored Fulham’s second and went on to complete 90 minutes.
It was the teenager’s eighth goal of the season so far and his fourth in just three games. Certainly, it’s easy to see why the likes of Liverpool and Spurs are watching him. Reports in recent weeks have suggested Fulham fear the youngster has already penned a deal elsewhere, with the Reds and Spurs frontrunners.
Carvalho is one of the Championship’s top young talents as things stand. Indeed, Marco Silva doesn’t want to lose his man. He is a big fan of Carvalho, having sung his praises earlier this season.
“Carvalho was fantastic. It is something he has been doing since pre-season. He was fantastic in the second half, he was fresh, and it wasn’t just with the ball as well, he did everything we asked him to do, but he is 18 and still learning as a player,” Silva told West London Sport in August.
If Liverpool have managed to do a deal here, then Fulham fans will be gutted. Reds fans, meanwhile, will be delighted at their club capturing another promising talent from Craven Cottage.
TBR’s View: Carvalho Continues To Shine And Getting Better
There aren’t many teenagers producing the goods like Carvalho is at the moment and Fulham are right to be worried that he is on his way.
However, if you’re a Liverpool or Spurs fan, you can be excited here. Young, energetic, and with quality beyond his years, Carvalho already looks Premier League ready. And if he continues to score and catch the eye like he has done today, then that PL move won’t be far away.
