Liverpool and Newcastle have both made contact to sign £25m player but he could go elsewhere

TBR Football understands that Tiago Pinto – Bournemouth’s new footballing supremo – is heading the chase for Dean Huijsen.

The managing director has a close relationship with the teenager after signing him for Roma last season.

Juventus have told Huijsen he can leave as they need the money from him to pay for Jean-Clair Todibo – as yet they have agreed terms with the player but not the club.

Liverpool and Newcastle both make contact with Dean Huijsen

We can confirm Aston Villa, Newcastle and Liverpool have all had contact about Huijsen – but Bournemouth are pushing to try and seal a deal.

PSG, Wolfsburg and Stuttgart have also held talks with Huijsen – who is taking his time on deciding his next move, but Pinto is hopeful of persuading him to the South Coast.

There’s still a possibility one of the big hitters could hijack a move for the 2004-born centre-back, who is under contract at Juve until 2028.

Having missed out on Leny Yoro to Manchester United, Liverpool are still actively pursuing a defender, so they could be one to watch out for.

Newcastle focused on Malick Thiaw

Whilst Newcastle evidently admire Huijsen, it seems all of their attention is focused on AC Milan’s Malick Thiaw this summer.

TBR reported on Tuesday that The Magpies are ready to make a bid for Thiaw, though, it’s not yet been confirmed how much they’re willing to offer.

The 22-year-old certainly isn’t expected to come on the cheap – it’ll take a sizable bid for Milan to sanction the sale of one of their most prized assets.

In other news, Galatasaray are considering a move to sign an ‘exceptional’ Newcastle player with club ready to sell him.
