Liverpool and Chelsea have both agreed personal terms with French midfielder, Aurelien Tchouameni, although a deal to bring him to England remains unlikely.
Tchouameni has emerged as one of the top midfield targets on the market ahead of the summer. After some impressive performances for Monaco, Europe’s biggest clubs are keen on him. Liverpool and Real Madrid have been the most heavily-linked, with a deal at the Spanish club reported as being very likely.
However, 90Min has reported today that Tchouameni has actually agreed personal terms with both Chelsea and Liverpool. It means the English pair are ready to pounce should a deal to join Madrid break down. Indeed, Tchouameni himself has said he’s still not sure where exactly his next move will be.

As quoted by 90Min, Tchouameni answered ‘no not yet’ when asked if he’d picked his next club. That little comment will bring a small glimmer of hope for both Liverpool and Chelsea, who will be waiting in the wings.
Tchouameni – who has been labelled as an ‘extraordinary’ player by Paul Pogba – certainly improves all the clubs mentioned here.
TBR’s View: Liverpool Hanging On In There For Tchouameni
This would be a turn up for the books. If Liverpool somehow managed to sign Tchouameni when it’s seemed for all the world that he’d join Madrid, it would be a huge statement.
Tchouameni is an absolute tank of a midfielder. He has a bit of everything in his game and on first look, appears to be a real world star of the future.
He’s already performed brilliantly for Monaco and with the World Cup coming, he might get the chance to show his talent on the world stage with France as well. If, somehow, Liverpool pull this off, then it’s a game-changing signing for the Reds.
