Liverpool and Arsenal could be given a free run to try and sign Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg this summer, after the club’s president admitted a summer transfer could be on the cards.
Both the Reds and the Gunners have been linked with a move for Adeyemi in recent months. Reports a few weeks back suggested Salzburg want around £34m for the talented teenager.
The Daily Mail had previously reported how Adeyemi was being watched by Arsenal, Liverpool, and Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. The 19-year-old forward already has 15 goals in just 22 games this season.

And now, Salzburg’s president, Harald Lurzer, has told Bild that he fully expects Adeyemi to move on this summer.
Bild quotes Lurzer as saying the club is under “no illusions” about it, and that the club is “aware that the Karim will probably take the next step next summer. We don’t want to put any obstacles in the way.”
It seems, then, that Salzburg are resigned to losing the striker and are simply looking to bring in as much money as they can.
TBR’s View: Liverpool and Arsenal have to be in the mix for Karim Adeyemi
Some players come along who look the real deal and Adeyemi is right in that bracket of player. Put simply, if he’s on the market this summer, then both Arsenal and Liverpool have to be involved.
The Gunners need a striker, for a start. Liverpool, meanwhile, need another option at number nine with Bobby Firmino often dropping deep.
Adeyemi’s stats for such a young player are exceptional. Worryingly for the rest of Europe, he’s only going to get better as well. Naturally, the obvious move is to Germany from Salzburg.
But Leicester managed to snap up Patson Daka this summer, so there is definitely scope for Premier League clubs to get in there too.
