Liverpool fans react as influential Alisson Becker reportedly set to return to training

Liverpool have confirmed on their official website that Alisson Becker is nearing a return to full fitness.

The Brazilian has been absent since injuring his calf in the club’s first match of the season against Norwich City at Anfield.

Alisson was instrumental last season as the Reds won the Champions League and having him back for some big games is a massive bonus for Liverpool.

Spanish stopper Adrian has deputised in decent fashion in his absence but it goes without saying that Alisson is firmly established as the club’s number one stopper.

The 26-year-old was named as FIFA’s Best Goalkeeper of 2019 this past week for his fine performances last season.

Alisson has 42 Brazil caps to his name and Liverpool supporters are relishing the chance to see their number one custodian back in action for the first-team.

Liverpool have won all of their first six matches of the 2019/20 campaign and look on course to challenge for the title once again.

Many supporters are delighted to hear that he will be back in training this weekend; although they are appreciative of the professional job done by Adrian.
