Liverpool crashed out of the Champions League after drawing 2-2 with Atletico Madrid after extra-time.
A Gini Wijnaldum goal sent the game into extra-time and Roberto Firmino put the Reds 2-0 up on the night.
A 10-minutes to forget for Adrian in goal, however, scuppered Liverpool’s chances of winning.

His awful clearance handed Marcos Llorente the chance to half the deficit and give Atletico the edge on away goals. Right on the striker of half-time in extra time, Los Rojiblancos made it 2-2 and secured their progression.
One man who was a standout performer for Liverpool was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. He enjoyed a start in the team with Jurgen Klopp preferring his attacking threat over the defence-minded Fabinho.
The man signed from Arsenal for £35 million was superb in the middle of the park and earned a standing ovation when he was substituted in the 81st minute.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has featured in 33 games in all competitions this season, with 20 coming in the way of starts.
After spending the majority of last season out injured it has taken him a little while to get up to speed during 2019/20.
On this showing, however, it won’t be long before he is a permanent fixture back in the side.

He made a mockery of the fact that he hasn’t played more against Atletico, tormenting their midfield throughout.
The £120,000-a-week star was a driving force through the middle and constantly set Liverpool on their way forward.
Supporters were quick to react to his showing and took to Twitter to rave about his performance on the night.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Liverpool fanbase on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s showing against Atletico.
