Harry Redknapp has issued Tottenham Hotspur with a warning regarding the future of Spurs and England talisman Harry Kane, in conversation with Sky Sports.
The 26-year-old has been sensational for Tottenham over the past few years, coming through the Spurs ranks and becoming an indispensable player for club and country.
To date, Kane has registered 181 goals and 30 assists for Tottenham, as well as 32 goals from 45 England caps.
However, despite his heroics for Spurs, he is yet to lift a major trophy with the North London club.

Kane warned Tottenham last week that he wouldn’t remain at the club “for the sake of it”, and suggested he was willing to leave if he felt Spurs weren’t progressing.
Now, former Tottenham boss Redknapp says Spurs need to rebuild and become competitive if they are to retain the services of the third-highest scorer in the club’s history.
“Listen, Harry is an ambitious boy. He’s a fantastic professional, a great lad, and he wants to play and he wants to win things,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
“[Tottenham] need surgery in the summer, but are they going to be spending any money? Is anyone going to be spending money now in the next year or two and going for big transfers? He’ll be looking at that and thinking ‘hang on’.
“And what a player he would be for one of those top clubs. I don’t want to see him leave Tottenham and nor do Tottenham fans but what a centre-forward he would be for Man City for instance with Aguero coming to the end.
“He’d be a great signing for anybody. He’s a great player and a great professional – hopefully he’ll stay at Tottenham but he won’t stay unless he sees them pushing to win things.”
TBR View:
For a player of Kane’s calibre to not have a single major trophy to his name at 26 years old is concerning.
Football careers aren’t particularly long, and strikers tend to peak around their mid to late twenties, so Kane will surely have some thinking to do this summer.
Likewise, if Spurs want to hang on to Kane, they need to do their bit and convince him that they’re serious about silverware – and strengthen their ranks accordingly.
