Newcastle United have been linked with a summer move for Bournemouth’s David Brooks.
The Daily Star have reported that the Wales international is one of a few players on the Magpies’ radar, with his teammate Ryan Fraser and Burnley starlet Dwight McNeil also targets.

Brooks has enjoyed a fantastic first season at the Vitality Stadium following his £10 million move from Sheffield United last summer (BBC Sport).
The midfielder has made 31 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries, scoring seven goals and making five assists.
His form and promise have led to reports he could be the subject of interest from some big clubs this summer.
TBR’s view
It is somewhat surprising to see Newcastle linked with a move for Brooks.
The 21-year-old is one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League and has shown enough quality to warrant a move to one of the division’s bigger clubs.

Newcastle are undoubtedly a big club, but they have proven down the years that they do not spend like one.
Before the January transfer of Miguel Almiron for around £20 million, Newcastle’s record signing was Michael Owen at £16 million from 2005.
Given his potential, Brooks will likely be a costly outlay for whichever team lands him. Newcastle surely will not be able to compete.
In February, The Mirror reported Tottenham were preparing a £50 million offer for the playmaker this summer, with Manchester United also interested.
