'Like watching Jozy Altidore' - Some Sunderland fans think Sinclair is a flop

Sunderland crashed out of the FA Cup last night, missing the chance to travel to Bolton Wanderers for a Third Round clash.

In their replay against fast-emerging bogey team Walsall, it took a long-range stunner from Liam Kinsella to separate the two sides.

After the game, Sunderland fans were critical of a few players who did not quite live up to expectations.

Among them was Jerome Sinclair, who is enduring a torrid time on loan at The Stadium of Light.

After arriving on loan from Watford with a high reputation, Sunderland fans expected a lot from their 22-year-old striker.

But he has been unable to replace teenager Josh Maja in the starting line-up and he has been below-par when he gets on the pitch.

With two goals (of which one was in the league) in 17 games, Sunderland fans are justified in their disappointment at this deal.

The former England youth international was highly rated by Liverpool in the past but his career has since nosedived.

Below are some tweets from Sunderland fans discussing his performance against Walsall.
