'Like a young Stevie G': Liverpool fans laud Curtis Jones for Brentford display
Liverpool played their part in an enthralling counter with Brentford this evening as the goals flowed in the late Premier League kick-off.
Mo Salah, Diogo Jota, and Curtis Jones got in on the goalscoring act for the Reds but Ethan Pinnock, Vitaly Janelt, and Yoane Wissa all did just the same for Thomas Frank’s side.
It was, if anything, a stunning advert for Premier League football and once again put Brentford in a positive light to the rest of the league.
However, Liverpool probably could and should have had more goals and won the game easily. The likes of Mane and Salah spurned chances, although Ivan Toney did have a late effort ruled out.
But, one of the more standout players for the Reds was young midfielder and goalscorer, Curtis Jones. The Reds starlet once again showed what he is all about, and his goal simply capped off an excellent day at the office.
Over on Twitter, Liverpool fans were loving what they saw from Jones and were quick to praise not only his goal, but his contribution on the night.
Here, then, is what some Reds fans had to say.
Curtis Jones’ price going up every week…love to see it

At the very least, we can quite clearly see Curtis Jones is excellent back-up for midfield. Thank goodness he didn’t leave.

Klopp stupid decision to take off Curtis Jones immediately after he scored ! Why remove him ? He was brilliant ! Firmino is not in form ..😤😤 #BRELIV

Still unsure why Curtis Jones was subbed off.
