Sky Sports pundit Liam Rosenior hailed Leeds United playmaker Pablo Hernandez for his role in the 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday evening.
The Whites continued their charge towards promotion by earning a narrow victory at Elland Road, but in truth the scoreline would have been a lot more convincing if not for opposition’s goalkeeper Keiren Westwood.
Sheffield United had slipped up earlier on in the day by drawing with Millwall, which is why a win for Marcelo Bielsa’s team has now taken them three points clear in second.
Jack Harrison was the hero for Leeds with his neat finish on his weaker right foot against Sheffield Wednesday, as their defensive resilience was finally broken.
But pundit Rosenior was blown away by the assist from Hernandez, who he feels purposely crossed the ball through the defenders legs into the penalty area.
He also added that the 34-year-old should have been included in the Championship team of the year.
“I think this is why for me Pablo Hernandez should have been a shoe-in for the team of the year because he knows he is going to nutmeg [Morgan] Fox here and he puts the ball in that area,” Rosenior said on Sky Sports Main Event Channel (19:45, 13 April).

TBR’s View:
Hernandez has been sensational all season for the Yorkshire giants and once again popped up at the vital moment for his team.
The attacking midfielder now has 12 goals and 12 assists in just 35 league games this campaign.
It was going to take something special at the weekend and once again the Spanish magician popped up with the answer.
He appears to be going from strength to strength despite his age and it’s outrageous that he was snubbed from the team of the year following the quality of his individual performances.
