Leeds United look like being the entertainers of the Premier League this year. They played out yet another 4-3 fixture yesterday but, on this occasion, were the victors, defeating fellow Premier League newbies Fulham.
It followed their opening day loss to Liverpool by the same scoreline, a game in which captain Liam Cooper was missing.
This, therefore, was the Scotland international’s first Premier League game as a Leeds United player and he was clearly proud of the moment.
Taking to Twitter after the game, Cooper made it clear he was completing a dream of captaining Leeds United in the top-flight.
He also mentioned his thankfulness to the Leeds United attack, who managed to outscore Fulham in a game where both defenses struggled.
Waited a long time for that! Plenty to improve, but the front men got the job done for us. A dream come true to captain my club in the premier league. MOT 🙏🏻💯 pic.twitter.com/XXGhfC0S2Q

Leeds will be glad that Cooper is back and fit but the club are still clearly not at their peak defensively.
Cooper will need time to develop a relationship with new signing Robin Koch that can hopefully be as fruitful as the one he had with Ben White last season.
Leeds United fans will just hope the goals keep coming, with perhaps a slightly more robust defensive display.
