Leeds United captain Liam Cooper has reacted on Twitter after former Premier League star Curtis Woodhouse made a big claim about Leeds’ supporters.
Leeds’ fans are renowned to be one of the largest, most passionate fanbases in English football, making themselves heard regularly when travelling away and even turning up in their numbers during pre-season.
Whites fans, though, have been made to wait what will be 16 years for a return to the Premier League. Indeed, the club have failed to taste top-flight football since they were relegated amid administration back in 2004.
Leeds defender and fan favourite Cooper reacted on Twitter after former Birmingham City midfielder Woodhouse claimed that Leeds’ supporters are the best in the country.

TBR’s view – Are Leeds fans the best in the country?
You ask many footballers where the best atmosphere is around England’s grounds, and many will tell you that Elland Road produces the most cauldron-like noise.
It is testament to the Leeds fans that former players with no affiliation to the former Champions League side praise the supporters and their effort when it comes to travelling in numbers – or simply signing ‘Marching on Together’.
Leeds will be hoping their fans continue to be their number 12, as they look to go one better than their third-placed season this time around.
