Leeds United captain Liam Cooper has claimed that teammate Patrick Bamford is impressive every day in training, something which he’s currently replicating on the pitch.
Bamford has been one of the real big success stories at Elland Road this season, as he’s proven doubters wrong that suggested he couldn’t cut it at top-flight level.
After helping the Whites gain promotion last year, the 27-year-old has continued to be the first-choice striker in Marcelo Bielsa’s team.
He’s now scored 12 goals and set up six assists in 22 Premier League games.
The left-footed forward has managed to find a more clinical touch in front of goal, plus he’s a unique forward that defends from the front unlike most strikers and has an incredible work-rate off the ball.
Cooper has suggested that behind the scenes Bamford is equally as impressive.
“[Patrick Bamford] is flying. We see it every day in training. He works so hard for the team, he gives us a focal point and hopefully he can continue to do what he is doing as he has been unbelievable for us,” Cooper told BBC Sport.

TBR’s View:
Aged 27, Bamford really looks like he’s hitting peak form in the past six months and he’s living up to the potential that so many had of him when he was in Chelsea’s academy.
He offers so much to the Leeds team with his energy even if he doesn’t get on the scoresheet and is a perfect fit for Bielsa’s style of play.
If Leeds were to hand out their player of the year award now, he’d certainly be in the mix for the top prize.
