Liverpool got back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, as Arne Slot’s men got the better of Bournemouth.
Arne Slot will be happy with the 3-0 win over Bournemouth, but the stats tell a slightly different story as both teams had 19 shots in a game that was nervy towards the start.
However, Liverpool won’t complain about getting their fourth clean sheet of the season.
Paulo Fonseca was full of praise for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has played a big part in Liverpool’s defensive displays this season.
But, it’s been Ryan Gravenberch who has stolen the show for Liverpool this season as a real surprise weapon for Arne Slot after a disappointing first season at Anfield.
And one of his teammates received plenty of love on LFC TV after the Bournemouth game…

LFC TV pundit Neil Mellor so impressed by £35m Liverpool player vs Bournemouth
Liverpool’s midfield has been the highlight of their season as Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch have bossed things.
That exact midfield three started once again against Bournemouth, and the results were the same.
Interestingly, it was the Argentine who received the most praise on LFC TV.
Neil Mellor when speaking on his personal Twitter account revealed that Alexis Mac Allister ran further than anyone on Saturday afternoon in a quality display.
Alexis Mac Allister’s season to date
Alexis Mac Allister was suffering from pain due to muscle overload during the international break, but he appears to have put any issues behind him as he continues to deliver at Liverpool.
The midfielder is yet to get off the mark for goals or assists in the current campaign, but the work he does off the ball with the press and in the build-up to goals makes him a vital part of this team.
He’s certainly proved Jamie Carragher wrong this season, as he named Mac Allister as one of the players who ‘can’t run’ at the Merseyside club.
With domestic and European cup competitions underway, perhaps it would make sense for Slot to give him a bit of a breather to eliminate the risk over another overload.
