'Levy, step away', 'don't even': Some Spurs fans tell club not to move for 51-year-old manager

Spurs fans have reacted to news that Frank de Boer is now no longer the Netherlands manager.

And quite a few Tottenham supporters aren’t eager for him to come to N17.

The Dutchman has stepped down as his nation’s head coach two days after their Euro 2020 elimination.

De Boer became Oranje boss last September to replace Ronald Koeman, who took charge at Barcelona.

The Dutch topped Group C by winning all three games, but their tournament came to a premature end on Sunday.

Czech Republic ran out 2-0 winners over the Netherlands, who finished the game with ten men.

Goals from Tomas Holes and Patrik Schick, paired with a red card to Matthijs De Ligt, gave the Czechs a shock win.

De Boer’s Netherlands deal would have been automatically renewed had he secured a quarter-final berth.

However, the 51-year-old told the Dutch FA (KNVB) he was unwilling to continue, saying his “goal has not been achieved”.

Spurs manager search – De Boer wouldn’t go down well amongst fans

Prior to taking the Netherlands reins, De Boer managed Atlanta United, Crystal Palace, Inter Milan and Ajax.

Although he won four consecutive Eredivisie titles at Ajax and two cups in Atlanta, he struggled at Inter and Palace.

Therefore, Spurs fans have urged Levy not to even think about moving for De Boer.
