Levy reportedly met Real Madrid chief Perez last week to warn him off Eriksen swoop

Daniel Levy has informed Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez that he won’t sell him Christian Eriksen this summer, as per Spanish outlet El Confidential.

They report that Levy and Perez went for dinner in Madrid last Friday, the day before Spurs played out the Champions League final against Liverpool in the same city.

There is a working relationship between the two clubs, which has seen Luka Modric and Gareth Bale make the switch from London to the Spanish capital.

But on this occasion, Levy will apparently not consider letting the £75,000-a-week (Spotrac) playmaker leave, despite his contract expiring in 2020.

Eriksen has reportedly told an outlet in his native Denmark, Ekstrabladet, that he wants to ‘try something new’ in the summer, having not signed a new contract during 2018/19,

So it might be that another transfer saga is on the cards at Tottenham this summer, during a window in which Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to keep all of his top stars and add to a stretched squad.

But Levy is a stern negotiator and notoriously stubborn, so if he has told Perez that he won’t give him Eriksen this summer, it’s tough to see the Spurs chief changing his mind.
