Some Arsenal fans are looking forward to seeing Reiss Nelson in action this evening.

The Gunners are in pre-season friendly action against Hibernian in a 6pm BST kickoff.

Arsenal’s first line-up of 2021-22 features Arthur Okonkwo in goal and a back line of Cedric Soares, Harry Clarke, Pablo Mari and Sead Kolasinac.

Nelson, Mohamed Elneny, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Willian are also included in what looks to be a 4-4-2.

And Eddie Nketiah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang complete the starting XI.

Gunners fans have been having their say on the XI and quite a few are pleased to see Nelson get the nod from the off.

Here is what some supporters wrote on Twitter about the 21-year-old winger:

Nelson came through the Hale End ranks and has been tipped for a huge future in the game.

Speaking to The Sun last year, former Arsenal academy coach Andries Jonker claimed that, out of about 250 youth players, Nelson was one of three he considered to be elite talents.

However, Nelson struggled for game time under Mikel Arteta last season.

Indeed, he was being tipped for a loan move in January, though this didn’t materialise.

Could 2021-22 see the talented attacker finally stake a claim for a regular first-team place?
