'Let's go': Tottenham fans react to reports they lead race for £18.7m PL star

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports this week claiming that Spurs are back in the running to sign Max Aarons – and apparently find themselves in pole position to sign the Norwich City starlet.

Aarons was unable to help the Canaries secure a positive result on Sunday. They were beaten 3-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Antonio Conte will have been delighted with his side. But it may not have only been his own players he was monitoring during the game.

Calciomercato. It reports that Tottenham want the 21-year-old, who is valued at around £18.7 million. They face competition from Everton and former boss Jose Mourinho, who would like to take the full-back to Roma. Borussia Dortmund meanwhile, are said to be very interested in the defender.

The reports have been met with a mixed reaction from Spurs fans on social media. Some are not convinced that Aarons has kicked on in the way that most expected when he initially burst onto the scene.
