Les Ferdinand has now declared his thoughts on where Arsenal will finish in the Premier League this season after their loss at Newcastle United.
Ferdinand was speaking on talkSPORT this morning and confirmed that he still thinks that Arsenal will be the closest team to Manchester City.

The pundit stopped short of tipping Arsenal to go beyond Pep Guardiola’s side, but he suggests that a runners-up spot should be the minimum.
Ferdinand said: “I still think Arsenal will be the closest team to Manchester City come the end of the season.”
Of course, Arsenal will now enjoy a slightly nicer run in the Premier League after some tough fixtures of late.
Although Mikel Arteta can’t afford to take any games lightly, Arsenal do host Burnley this weekend before games against Brentford, Wolves and Luton Town.
Some tricky ties, but ones Arteta will have to overcome if Arsenal are to mount a title charge.
And despite Ferdinand’s thoughts, Arsenal fans will be worried that they now face serious competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in the league too.
Ferdinand thinks Arsenal will challenge City for the Premier League title
Arsenal’s title push last season was aided by the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United laying fairly dormant.
And although United are still struggling, Liverpool do look a threat under Jurgen Klopp once again.

Mikel Arteta won’t want his side thinking too much about the bigger pitch right now, and will be focusing on a tie against Sevilla tonight.
Takehiro Tomiyasu has provided a positive message on his condition after dealing with a tough injury last year.
However, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard does now seem as if he’ll miss the crucial tie.
Arsenal fans will really want to see a creative display from their team tonight, something that has been severely lacking in the last two games.
And whilst Les Ferdinand is already thinking about the Premier League title race, Arsenal will be focused on some important improvements in the here and now.
