Brendan Rodgers has made it clear that James Maddison is happy at Leicester City and does not expect him to leave for Arsenal. The England man has been linked with a move to the Gunners this summer. But Rodgers thinks Maddison will stay put, and Leicester fans have had their say.
Football London say Arsenal are trying to get Maddison – who is rated at £60million – in a player-plus-cash deal. The 24-year-old was excellent once again last season, producing a huge 21 goal involvements in just 42 games for Leicester. Maddison scored 11 times, and laid on 10 assists for the Foxes.

Maddison to Arsenal: What are Leicester fans saying about Rodgers comments?
Rodgers said: “I believe so. I haven’t been told anything to say he wouldn’t be. He’s happy in training and working very hard. There is gossip and speculation that goes around especially at this time of the year. James is a very important member of our squad and a very talented player.”
Arsenal need a number 10 this summer, among other areas that still require strengthening. The Gunners have waved goodbye to Martin Odegaard after the Norwegian ace went back to Real Madrid following his loan at Arsenal. Emile Smith-Rowe has put pen to paper on a new deal.
But Arsenal clearly want another option in attacking midfield and it looks as though Maddison is the player they want this summer. But Leicester fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Rodgers and his comments on Maddison – amid reported interest from North London giants Arsenal.
