Leicester fans hail Chilwell’s impressive display in narrow loss versus Manchester City

Leicester City are a side transformed under Brendan Rodgers and they showcased their new-found passing game once again against Manchester City last night at the Etihad Stadium.

The Foxes did an impressive job of frustrating the champions, who were as tense as their supporters, by keeping the ball well, especially in the first half.

Perhaps they were a touch too negative and willing to pass backwards but for a large portion of the game, it did the trick, and ball-playing defenders such as Ben Chilwell were key to the confident gameplan.

Of course, Vincent Kompany’s stunning one in a million strike won the match for City, but Leicester had an outstanding chance to level and hand Liverpool the initiative in the title race when Kelechi Iheanacho raced clear against his old club, only to slot wide.

The Telegraph have linked Chilwell with a summer switch to City and also with Tottenham in recent months, and the England international showed why he has been catching the attention of top six clubs with another good display.

His stock has risen considerably this season and the Foxes fans were once more impressed with his display as he did a good job of shackling Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling before Kompany struck…
