Leicester City’s long wait to bring Youri Tielemans back to the King Power Stadium looks to be over as the Telegraph report they are closing in on the Belgian.
Ayoze Perez and James Justin also look set to line up alongside the midfielder next season, with Brendan Rodgers getting him back to the club permanently on a club-record deal.
They’re exciting additions to an already impressive squad and Tielemans was a huge hit at the King Power last season, after forming part of a loan swap deal with Adrien Silva and Monaco.
The £80,000-a-week (Spotrac) midfielder spent the second half of last season with the Ligue 1 strugglers, but the Telegraph report makes it plain that they will listen to offers to the Portuguese – having failed to send him to Monaco again.
That would have been ideal for Leicester, perhaps getting some money off Tielemans and offloading a high earner who has absolutely no first-team prospects next season.
But as it stands, they must now enter the sellers market afresh this summer, looking to get Silva gone to a different club as Rodgers continues to reshape his squad.
