Leicester City maintained their push for another Premier League title with a workmanlike 2-0 victory over Watford at the King Power Stadium.

Jamie Vardy and James Maddison ensured they kept up the pressure on Liverpool ahead of a busy Christmas period.

Brendan Rodgers has really got the Foxes playing some tremendous football.

His young and vibrant squad have been one of the surprise packages of the campaign so far and they currently sit above last year’s champions Manchester City.

It really would be quite remarkable if Leicester could win another title. At the start of the season, everyone was talking about Liverpool and City but Leicester might just have something to say about that.

With last night’s game heading towards victory, Rodgers opted to hand right-back James Justin his first Premier League appearance.

The 21-year-old signed from Luton Town for £8 million (Sky Sports) during the summer. He had been restricted to appearances in the EFL Cup but will now crave more league appearances after his first outing.

Despite his brief cameo, he did claim an assist. He highlighted his qualities by setting up Maddison to put the seal on another Foxes victory.
