Leicester and Sheffield United are among the clubs in the chase for Bristol City midfielder Josh Brownhill, according to the Bristol Post.
They report that Burnley – who saw off Leicester 2-1 on Sunday – are also in the hunt as interest from the top flight intensifies in his services.
The report says that Brownhill has a £7 million release clause in his Robins contract, making him affordable for both Brendan Rodgers and Chris Wilder.
However, the release clause only comes into effect during the summer transfer window but City will consider higher offers this month if they come in.

TBR’s View – Brownhill could be a gem with the quality to adapt to the Premier League
Both Leicester and Sheffield United have a strong transfer record and have not always gone for obvious targets in the past.
Brownhill could be another example and if they wait until the summer and are able to land him for £7 million, he could be a gem.
At 24, he has plenty of time to improve and has tenacity, energy and an eye for a pass which would go down well with both Rodgers and Wilder.
Wilder especially has made a habit of polishing gems from the EFL and Brownhill looks like an ideal option to add to his midfield.
