Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-Min scored to help South Korea to a 2-1 friendly victory over Colombia on Tuesday.
Up against Tottenham team-mate Davinson Sanchez, Son scored the opening goal and captained his national side to victory.
The South Korea international’s goal was typical of his talent, showing a turn of pace and a direct approach to burst into the box and score.
In fact, he even got the better of Sanchez for the goal and the Colombian defender was not able to stop his Spurs team-mate.
Son has been in fine form for Tottenham this season and has clearly carried that into his international duties.
The 26-year-old operates on either wing, in the number 10 role or as a central striker and that versatility has been useful for Mauricio Pochettino this season.
With 16 goals and six assists this season, Son is one of Tottenham’s deadliest attacking threats and he is developing into a key player.
Tottenham fans took to social media to discuss Son’s goal as the Spurs official Twitter account shared a clip. Below are several tweets from Tottenham supporters discussing Son’s goal.
