Arsenal have confirmed that midfielder Matt Smith has left the club on loan for the season.
The club announced on their official website that the 20-year-old youngster will spend next season with League One side Doncaster Rovers.

Smith was part of the Gunners squad that won the FA Cup in 2020, though he did not play a single minute.
The midfielder has been with Arenal for some time, joining the north London side at the age of nine and going on to captain multiple teams at youth level.
Smith spent two loan spells away from Arsenal last season. The playmaker initially joined Swindon Town before joining Charlton Athletic in January. In total, the midfielder has played 32 professional games.

Doncaster is an ideal destination for Smith, with the likes of Ben Sheaf and Tyreece John-Jules both succeeding their on loan from Arsenal.
And supporters on social media are delighted that another youngster will spend a season with the League One side.
