‘Legend’ – Leeds United fans react to Emile Smith-Rowe as he helps them to the Premier League

Leeds United were promoted to the Premier League as neighbours Huddersfield saw off West Brom to ensure their West Yorkshire rivals returned to the top-flight.

The Terriers saw off the Baggies thanks to goals from Chris Willock and Emile Smith-Rowe, with a Dara O’Shea strike proving in vain for Slaven Bilic’s men.

It means a return to the PL for Leeds for the first time since 2004. Marcelo Bielsa has worked wonders to turn things around and after last season’s disappointment, it is just what they deserve this time around.

Leeds fans, then, were all over social media reacting and it seems some of them have some new heroes in the form of Huddersfield players.

The main man, of course, is goalscorer Smith-Rowe, who attracted plenty of attention thanks to his strike.
