Tottenham Hotspur newcomer Clement Lenglet has described Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as a “legend”.
On Friday, Tottenham announced the season-long loan signing of the Barcelona defender for the 2022-23 campaign.
Lenglet, Fabio Paratici’s fifth Spurs signing of the summer, arrives to bolster Antonio Conte’s defensive ranks.

He is expected to compete with Ben Davies on the left-hand side of the Italian’s favoured three-at-the-back system.
Lenglet brings plenty of top-level experience to Tottenham, having made over 150 competitive appearances for Barca.
The 27-year-old also has 73 appearances for Sevilla and 83 for AS Nancy-Lorraine, as well as 15 France caps.
Lenglet has worked with Lloris at international level and admits he spoke to the Spurs stopper about the move.
“Hugo is a Tottenham legend,” the defender told the Spurs media team, as transcribed by the Evening Standard.
“I spoke a lot with Hugo to know about the city and everything to ensure I am good with my family in London.”
He added: “When you speak to a player who plays in the Premier League, they say it is a beautiful league where you fight every week and it’s very hard to win.
“I want to play a lot of games and win to fight at the top of the table.
“It would be a dream to win a trophy with Tottenham.”
Lenglet joins Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison in joining Spurs this summer.
According to the Evening Standard, he will not be flying to South Korea along with the Tottenham squad.
Spurs were reportedly unable to secure a visa in time for the Camp Nou loanee.
