Borna Barisic was recalled to the Rangers starting line-up after a frustrating spell of injuries and he impressed the fans.

The attack-minded left-back was a constant threat with his set pieces and crosses from open play as Rangers triumphed over Livingston.

Rangers’ 3-0 victory at Livingston closed the gap between them and league leaders Celtic as the Scottish Premiership title race looks set to go down to the wire.

The 26-year-old has even frustrated Steven Gerrard, who confirmed he was fully fit but absent for some reason.

He told The Daily Record on the 24th January: “I don’t know, you’ll have to ask Borna. He had me worried because he tapped the floor about 55 times but I’m not sure, you’ll have to ask Borna but he looks like he’s moving okay now.”

But the Croatia international was back in the side to face Livingston, impressing with his performance at left-back.

Andy Halliday has been filling in during Barisic’s absence but the Croatian defender looks set to wrestle back his spot permanently if he can stay fit.

Here are a few opinions from Rangers fans on Barisic’s display.
