While Leeds United have impressed many since their return to the Premier League, there is arguably one player within Marcelo Bielsa’s squad who has not quite managed to produce their best form so far this term.
Tyler Roberts is one of 10 Whites players to have featured in all of Leeds’s league games this season. He also started the Carabao Cup tie with Hull City last month.

Unfortunately, the Wales international – who cost £2.5 million in 2018, according to Sky Sports – has been unable to stamp his authority on a place in the side.
And with Rodrigo Moreno improving in each of his appearances and Pablo Hernandez making his way back from injury, it currently looks to be a matter of time before a change is made to the starting lineup.
Roberts still has a role to play. Bielsa clearly trusts the 21-year-old. But there is surely no question that he could really do with producing one of his game-changing performances in the near future – particularly in light of reports from the Yorkshire Evening Post this week.
The report claimed that an enquiry had been made for Louie Sibley. The Yorkshire Evening Post also noted that Victor Orta had confirmed the Whites’ interest in the Derby County man.

Ominous sign for Roberts?
It was suggested that a move in this window is unlikely. But it would come as little surprise if they decided to make a bid further down the line.
Sibley and Roberts could get into the same lineup if they linked up at Leeds. But it does appear that both particularly thrive in a similar attacking midfield role.
So the pressure may be on Roberts to prove that he can realise his full potential at Elland Road. There have certainly been glimpses. But there now arguably needs to be more.
The Wales international was linked with a move to Pride Park by The Times in the summer. It could soon be a current Derby player who is tasked with pushing him further down the pecking order.
