Rio Ferdinand was amongst a host of former and current Leeds United players to send messages of support to Kalvin Phillips as the midfielder took to Instagram to comment on his disappointing injury news.
Phillips played the full 90 minutes against Wolves on Monday. Unfortunately for the England international, it was his deflection that gave the visitors the only goal of the game.

The defeat was a tough pill to swallow for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. But it is surely fair to say that the news that emerged following the game could be a lot more damaging to the Whites.
Phillips took a nasty fall after being fouled in the latter stages of the game. He was immediately holding onto his shoulder.

And the club have now confirmed on their official website that the 24-year-old will now miss up to six weeks.
That could mean that Phillips could miss Leeds’s next five games. It should also see the Yorkshire Pirlo sit out during November’s international break.
Phillips took to social media following the announcement to express his determination to get back as soon as possible.
And unsurprisingly, there was a raft of responses from teammates, former Leeds players and supporters.
The likes of Luke Ayling, Leif Davis and Olly Casey backed Phillips to return stronger. Meanwhile, there was also a message of encouragement from Ferdinand.
Here is Phillips’s post, followed by some of the replies…
