Leeds will reportedly listen to offers for defender Laurens De Bock

Leeds United are reportedly prepared to sell defender Laurens De Bock this summer.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the White swill listen to offers for the 26-year-old and an exit seems on the cards.

The left-back has spent the season out on loan at Belgian club KV Oostende, where he’s scored two goals in 23 games for them.

He’s been at Elland Road since 2018, but it seems a no-brainer to offload him this summer.

Marcelo Bielsa already has an overload of left-back options in his squad and it seems highly unlikely that De Bock can break into contention.

Barry Douglas should be hoping to nail down the full-back next season after a mixed first year, while the likes of Stuart Dallas and Ezgjan Alioski can also fill the role.

Douglas proved at former club Wolverhampton Wanderers he can be outstanding full-back option in the Championship and there should be plenty more to come from him.

De Bock has played just seven first-team games for Leeds and isn’t quite up to the standard required.

The Belgian defender is a left-sided flyer that likes to go forward, but it’s not happened for him in English football and a summer departure makes sense for all parties involved.

He’s clearly not in the thoughts of manager Bielsa, who will be going all out to earn promotion next season.
