Leeds United’s Luke Ayling was among those loving a night of drama at Euro 2020.

There was talk of the Leeds right-back actually making the England squad at one stage last season.

However, his omission from the team does not seem to have detracted from his enjoyment of the tournament.

The Leeds defender was a keen observer last night, and took to Twitter to celebrate the feast of footballing action.

Of course, the football was clashing with Love Island yesterday.

And Leeds teammate Stuart Dallas couldn’t help poking fun at his Elland Road partner.

Euro 2020 drama

Ayling definitely had the correct programme on, with Euro 2020 providing one of the most thrilling days of football in recent memory.

Spain and Croatia initially played out a brilliant contest, with Luis Enrique’s side running out as 5-3 winners in extra time.

It was then time for the French, but in the biggest upset of the competition so far, Switzerland managed to beat them to book their place in the quarter-final and dump the favourites out.
