Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has admitted to England’s Youtube channel that him and Ben White got blown away by the likes of Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford in England training.
Rude awakening
Phillips and Arsenal new boy were teamed up together with Luke Shaw on the first day of England training.
However, the pair were in for a rude awakening when they turned out in preparation for Euro 2020.
Phillips admits that he couldn’t get close to Sancho, Rashford and Jordan Henderson in the mini games, with White also struggling.
“The first day we came here, we did a session and it was three v three,” Phillips said.
“It was me, Luke Shaw and Ben White against Sancho, Rashford and Jordan Henderson and they absolutely blew us away.
“We were doing it for like five hours, different games, and they were just too good man.”

Grim reading for Arsenal fans?
Arsenal fans may cover their eyes upon reading the comments, as they desperately need White to come in and toughen up their defence.
Arsenal have struggled so far this term, although White missed their game against Chelsea through injury.
Phillips, meanwhile, must have adjusted to the quality in England training as he made a big impact for his country.
The Leeds man started in every game for Gareth Southgate’s men as they reached the final, and he was one of the Three Lions’ star players during the tournament.
