Samuel Saiz appears to be on his way out of Leeds United. The player is due to have a medical with Getafe. The 27-year-old playmaker, who has a pregnant wife and young daughter, is believed to want to return to his Spanish homeland for personal reasons. He is from Madrid and a move to former club Getafe would take him back to his home city.
Leeds do not appear prepared to stand in his way. AS recently reported that Getafe could conclude a loan deal in January, which would then be made permanent in the summer.
So how much can Leeds expect to get for the player? Because, in the summer, they could have got a lot.

According to Fichajes, Valencia made a €10 million (£9 million) bid for the player. The report claimed they were keen along with former club Huesca and, the club it now appears he is joining, Getafe.
Saiz was one of the star players for Leeds in 2017-18, even if he missed several games after a suspension for spitting.
Still riding off the coat-tails of his excellent season with Huesca in 2016-17, his stock was high.
This season has been more of a challenge for Saiz. Struggling to play the high-octane system Marcelo Bielsa demands he recently found himself out of the starting XI. Of course, that could be due to his circumstances off the pitch.
Whatever the case, Leeds are going to struggle to get £9 million for him now. Perhaps they should have cashed in when they had the chance.
