Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking into the signing of Lewis Cook. According to the Daily Star, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the one-cap England international and is preparing a £30 million bid. Spurs are looking for a long-term replacement for Mousa Dembele and it appears Cook has been identified as a potential option.

Bournemouth, however, will not want to sell and Tottenham may have to go higher than the £30 million originally mentioned to bring him in.

All of which will be good news for Leeds United fans.

(during the Emirates FA Cup fifth round match between Watford and Leeds United at Vicarage Road on February 20, 2016 in Watford, England.

The West Yorkshire side developed the England talent at their Thorp Arch academy. Considered one of their brightest prospects in a generation, his time at Elland Road came to an end in the summer of 2016.

He left in a deal which, as reported by BBC Radio Leeds (as relayed by Inside Futbol), included a sell-on clause. Yorkshire Post journalist Phil Hay also hypothesized that a sell-on clause could be prevalent in his deal.

Of course, there is no confirmation of such a clause from either club, so Leeds may not benefit from his sale.

But fans must hope that Leeds have a similar sell-on clause to the one they inserted in current Tottenham star Danny Rose’s exit. That could see them cash in in the future if Rose moves on and hopefully, any deal for Cook includes such a clause as rumoured.

Because an extra few million in the kitty could certainly help Leeds address their centre-back or centre-midfield problems.
