Leeds United have been busy offloading some fringe members of their squad today as the transfer window slammed shut across Europe and in the Football League.
Conor Shaughnessy has joined Mansfield Town and Laurens De Bock has penned a season-long deal at Sunderland in League One.
One other departure did take place, with Vurnon Anita seeing his contract ripped up at Elland Road.
The termination of his deal will now allow him to sign for another club as a free agent outside of the transfer window.

Anita signed for Leeds in 2017 and played 22 times for the club. His arrival from Newcastle United was met with optimism after playing 106 Premier League games for the Magpies.
Things haven’t transpired, however, and Anita has found himself on the Leeds scrapheap under the management of Marcelo Bielsa.
Given his versatility, it is perhaps surprising he hasn’t been kept around or at least given a proper chance to shine.
Following the club’s decision to release Anita, supporters have taken to Twitter to react to the decision.

It has been met with relative glee that the 30-year-old is now not stealing a wage from the Championship club.
