James pursuit

Leeds United are not prepared to give up in their hunt for Swansea City winger Daniel James. The Yorkshire Evening Post reports he remains the number one target for Leeds and they will be pushing until deadline day to secure his signature.

Leeds rate him at just £3 million but a report from the Sun on Sunday (27/01/2019; pg 63) has suggested Swansea value him at a whopping £12 million.

Finding common ground will be key if Leeds are to bring in their number one target.

Bogusz ready

The same YEP report has confirmed the imminent arrival of Mateusz Bogusz. The 17-year-old is now set to undergo a medical at Thorp Arch this week before being unveiled.

Leeds agreed on a fee with the Ruch Chorzow youngster last week and will be signed with a view to becoming a future first-team option.

New contracts

Leeds United will wait until the summer to discuss new contracts for three of their most important players.

Wonderkid Jack Clarke, top-scorer Kemar Roofe and utility man Kalvin Phillips will all be handed new contract offers after the current campaign ends.

The Sun on Sunday (27/01/2019; pg 63) suggests Leeds will simply be targeting promotion before securing the trio’s futures.
