Leeds United utility man Stuart Dallas has hit back at claims in The Express that he is unhappy at Elland Road.

The 27-year-old is currently on Northern Ireland duty hoping to add to his 36 caps.

Dallas has been a regular from the bench for Marcelo Bielsa’s team since recovering from a fractured foot suffered in December.

The Express picked up some comments he made during a press conference on international duty, that have been interpreted way wide of the mark.

He was asked about his fitness levels having spent so long on the sidelines through injury.

He said: “It’s not ideal if you’re coming away here and you’re not playing at club level.

“I perhaps haven’t played as much as I would have liked in previous weeks, it hasn’t been helped by the injury I picked up in December.”

Quite bizarrely The Express ran these comments under a headline of “Leeds star Stuart Dallas reveals he is unhappy under boss Marcelo Bielsa”

Clearly, these weren’t an accurate assessment of what Dallas was saying and the Leeds man took to Twitter to make a point. He tweeted:

Leeds fans weren’t overly pleased with the misinterpretation either.

Lots of Whites supporters were quick to offer support to Dallas via Twitter.
