Kemar Roofe will have delighted Leeds United fans by posting an update on his Instagram story – as he continues his rehabilitation from a long-term knee injury.
The 26-year-old suffered a knee injury in the 2-1 win over Swansea City. He is expected to be sidelined until the middle of April, which comes as an enormous blow for the Whites.
Roofe has been in excellent form for Leeds, scoring 14 goals this season. His speed and hold-up play are also key contributions in the final third, bringing the likes of Matuesz Klich, Pablo Hernandez and Tyler Roberts into play.
The former West Bromwich Albion and Walsall star will have delighted fans, then, with his latest Instagram activity. He posted on his story that he has taken a step towards recovery, by having his brace removed.
Roofe has been a key figure in Leeds’ side this season, but they hardly missed him against the Baggies. Patrick Bamford has hit some form after finally overcoming his knee injury.
Meanwhile, in the 10 role, Klich has been partnered by Roberts. The latter was given the man-of-the-match award for his excellent creativity in Friday night’s 4-0 win.
But welcoming Roofe back will be a big boost for the club, with Marcelo Bielsa needing all of his best players if they are to finish in the top two come May.
