Leeds United goalkeeper Kiko Casilla is reportedly a transfer target for La Liga side Sevilla this summer. MARCA are reporting that the Spanish club want an experienced back-up to Czech goalie Tomas Vaclik and Casilla is now one of the club’s top options.
The future of Casilla has been up for debate for much of the summer. After failing to win promotion to the Premier League, many wondered if Leeds would be able to afford the wages that the former Real Madrid star was earning.
However, it appeared he was set to stay, until the most recent links.

But should Leeds lose Casilla, there is a ready-made solution for them in the goalkeeping department at the Sanchez Pizjuan.
The MARCA report suggests that Sevilla are not interested in handing the second-choice role at the club to Sergio Rico. The one-time Spanish international spent last season on loan at Fulham, in what was a mixed spell during the Cottagers relegation campaign.
With Rico available and clearly open to playing in the UK, Leeds would be right to consider a swap deal between the pair, if Casilla decided he wants a switch to Andalusia.
Rico, who played 32 times for Fulham last season, did not cover himself in glory in England and would surely like a second chance. At just 25-years-old, Leeds would be getting a younger upgrade on Casilla. If Sevilla do step up their pursuit for the Leeds player, the West Yorkshire side should certainly consider trading Kiko for Rico.
